BUHLER, Kan. — Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce this week’s Athlete of the Week: Sydney Quint, center fielder for the Buhler High School Crusaders.
The week – Quint had a huge week in leading Buhler to four wins, two against El Dorado and two against Clay Center. Quint batted .400 for the week, getting six hits, which included three singles, a double and a pair of home runs.
The season – Quint, the Crusaders’ center fielder, has been a major part of Buhler’s softball renaissance. Heading into this week, Buhler sported a glossy 9-3 record. Quint has a .455 batting average, has driven in 14 runs, stolen 13 bases without being caught and has committed just one error.
Each week, Ad Astra Radio recognizes a local high school student for their athletic achievements. The Athlete of the Week award is presented by Hutchinson Community College.
