The Kansas Football Coaches Association (KFBCA) has announced their All-State teams for the 2024 season. 11-Man coaches nominate players for consideration and member coaches vote on players after watching film and listening to each coach profile their nominees. The teams are composed of seniors only and nominations from dues paying members are considered.
Many athletes from the Ad Astra Radio area were honored by the association. The highest honor went to Andale running back Cooper Marx as he was picked for the All-State Top 11 in all classes.
In Class 4A, Buhler had four picks. On offense, OL Bodey Redenbaugh and Athlete Mitchel McDaniel and on defense, DL Cruz Hershberger and LB Will Hanen. McPherson LB Catch Delaney was also selected. Chanute had three representatives, all on defense, including: DL Cade Small and DBs Quinton Harding and Elliott Stephenson.
Andale had a big showing in the 3A All-State selections. OL Ethan Schrandt was joined by DL Isaiah Wilson, LB Cooper Marx and DB Landon Harp. Dylan Schmidt of Andale was also named the 3A Coach of the Year. From Cheney, QB Josh Burdick, OL AJ Quick and DB Jase Robertson were selected. Hesston LB Karter Gonzalez also made the cut.
On the 2A All-State team, Van Loop of Haven was chosen at running back. Also from the area, Kingman OL Collin Schreiner was joined by Garden Plain’s K/P Seth Dugan and DL Kaeden Kasselman. Hoisington LB Teron Kraft was chosen from the western part of the area and from the southeast, Humboldt OL Kyler Isbell and Athlete Blake Ellis were selected.
1A All-State selections included: Marion OL Brian Nguyen and DL Luke Watkins, Moundridge LB Henry Hecox, Ellinwood DB Landon Simpson and Jayhawk-Linn FB/TE Braeden Nation and Returner Ryan Broyles.
In 5A, Hutchinson DB Terrell King and Great Bend OL Owen Kaiser were All-State picks.
