The Andale track and field teams swept the Jack Bowman Invitational titles in Great Bend on Thursday.
The meet was moved up a day to avoid inclement weather. The Andale girls won their meet with 145 points, 17 ahead of runner-up Hays. The Andale boys won their meet with 144 points, 18 ahead of runner-up Dodge City.
On the girls side, Rylee Meyer won three events, the 100-meter dash (11.78), the 200m dash (25.05), and the 300m hurdles (44.68). Kate Eck finished third in the 800m (2:32.63). In the field events, Hally Horsch cleared 11-2 to win the pole vault while Bailey Bretthauer finished second (10-8). Sydney Waltner finished second in the triple jump (36-3). Paige Brand took second in the discus (121-6), while Reagan Winter was third (116-4). Abbey McNeal finished second in the javelin (119-5), and Kinley Spexarth took third (116-11).
On the boys side, Colt Lane won the pole vault, clearing 15-9. Lincoln Rempel and Hudson Tankersley tied for second (13-8). Brayden Spexarth won the javelin (179-2), with Hunter Grimes taking second (175-5). Ethan Eck took second in the triple jump (42-2.75). Parker Lies finished second in the 100m hurdles (14.99). The 4x100m (43.26), 4x400m (3:31.56), and 4x800m (8:21.19) relay teams each finished second. Lane Martin finished third in the 800m (2:02.48). Roman Lubbers finished third in the 1,600m (4:42.41).
Andale heads to Clearwater on Friday.
