Each month, Ad Astra Radio recognizes a girls and boys Team of the Month, selected from area high schools. The Boys Team of the Month for April goes to the Hesston Golf team.
The month: The Swathers finished the month with a bang, winning the Hesston Invitational on April 30, finishing with a team score of 288. Carter Frey had the top score with a 69. Austin Penner carded a 70, Evan Koehn a 71, Isaac Rusche a 78, Reece Burhman a 79 and Aiden Bridgeman an 81. Hesston also won the Circle tournament on April 20, and the Hillsboro Invitational on April 10. Hesston’s coach is Grady Pauls, and the Swathers are expected to be a strong contender in Class 3A.
