SEDGWICK, Kan. — Starting this week, Ad Astra Radio will be recognizing outstanding athletes from high schools we cover. Our first Athlete of the Week is Senior Quarterback Corey Crumrine from Sedgwick High School!
The week: Crumrine completed 17 of 28 passes for 182 yards and five touchdowns in leading Sedgwick to a 42-13 win over Sterling. Crumrine completed passes to six different receivers, and he hit four different receivers for the touchdowns. Crumrine added 85 yards rushing and a touchdown.
The season: Crumrine, a senior quarterback, is one of the state’s top dual threats. Last season, he threw for 3,158 yards and 34 touchdowns. Sedgwick is 1-0 this season and will travel to Hutchinson this week to take on Trinity Catholic.
