The Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches released their all-state teams for 2026. Many area athletes were recognized for the outstanding play this past season.
In Class 4A, the McPherson Bullpups had three players recognized as pitcher Cade Strathman and infielder Carter Bengtson were both first team all-state picks, while pitcher Cru Buchman was named to the honorable mention team.
In 3A, Smoky Valley’s Ty Heitschmidt was a second team pick at first base and Hesston third baseman Gabe Mowry made the honorable mention list.
In 2-1A, there were multiple second team picks from the area. Moundridge had three chosen with pitcher Clay Wilson, outfielder Logan Greenwalt and designated hitter Layton Schmidt honored. Also on the second team were Inman outfielder Korbyn McClellan and Marion outfield Jameson Looper. Also from Moundridge, Finn Lintecum (1B) was on the honorable mention list.
