GREAT BEND, Kan. – Venture Corporation will begin working on K 96 and the street improvement projects on or about June 5th. These projects will be worked on simultaneously.
The project will encompass K96, from 10th street to the city limits. K96 will be reduced to one lane. McKinley 10th to 8th with the closure of 8th at McKinley on the East and West sides. Residents will still be able to access their homes on 8th, as well as continue to access the businesses on McKinley.
Also, there will be repairs done to Almond, Buckeye, Cedar, Dogwood, Evergreen, and Firethorn. Each part of this project will differ in the amount of time for completion, but we expect the project as a whole to take upwards of 2 months depending on weather and unforeseen circumstances.
