GREAT BEND, Kan. — Jason Lindstrom, history professor, will present in the Ray Schulz Memorial Library on Monday, August 28th. Professor Lindstrom’s program will elaborate on the experiences of women in the Southern colonies of the United States, and will begin at 7 p.m. at the Barton County Historical Society, 85 S. Highway 281, Great Bend.

Admission is free for members of the society and $5 for individuals over 16 wishing to attend the program. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 7 p.m. Light refreshments are provided and bottled water for attendees is provided by Wheatland Electric.

The Barton County Historical Society is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday all year and has summer hours in April, from 1-4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
