Statewide Wild About Kansas Photo Contest Deadline Dec. 2

KANSAS — The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) recently launched the Wild About Kansas photography contest, which is statewide.

Through Dec. 2, Kansans will have the option to send in their best landscape or wildlife photos to the contest. Winners will be featured in the 2024 photography issue of the department’s magazine.

Contestants will have two age groups: Youth (below the age of 18) and Adult (age 18 and older) 

Photos for the following categories are being considered:

  • Hunting and fishing
  • Game species (For game mammals, migratory birds, furbearers, etc.)
  • Non-game species (Primarily for insects, reptiles, and amphibians, etc.)
  • Landscapes
  • Outdoor recreation (For non-hunting/fishing related outdoor activities)
