HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Feeding the hungry isn’t a job for just one church. It takes a group of friends who believe that together we make a difference.
For the seventh consecutive year, there will be a Thanksgiving Food Drive called “We’ll Leave Our Lights On.” Sanctuary lights will shine in 20 Hutchinson churches on Wednesday, November the 20th, from 5 – 7 p.m.
The Food Bank of Reno County suggests the donation of these items: Hamburger Helpers, pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly and jam, saltine crackers, mac and cheese, dry cereals, instant oatmeal, canned meats, canned fruits, canned soups, instant potatoes and instant rice, and pancake mix and syrup.
The donated foods will benefit local church pantries and the Reno County Food Bank.
Donations may be brought to any participating church. Thank you in advance for your help again this year.
We are “neighbors helping neighbors.”
