PAWNEE COUNTY, Kan. — The Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office, Larned Police, and the United States Marshals Office Fugitive Task Force apprehended what the sheriff’s office called an exceptionally dangerous fugitive Thursday.
The person was wanted on felony warrants out of Washington State and Federal Warrants for parole violation stemming from weapons offenses and robbery.
The suspect was taken into custody in the 200 block of East 20th after a brief standoff and was evaluated by Pawnee County EMS after being tasered multiple times.
Officers made contact with the nearby Larned Elementary School and sent the Sheriff’s School Resource Officer to the school for extra precaution.
