Volunteers Still Needed for Community Thanksgiving Dinner Nov. 23

McPHERSON, Kan. — Volunteers are still needed for the 28th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 23, 2023, at the Community Building. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help with setup on Wednesday and cleanup on Thursday after the meal.

The FREE dinner is paid for through the generosity of area businesses and individuals and served by community volunteers according to Ronn Peters, Public Relations for the Community Thanksgiving Inc. Board of Directors.

Doors will open at 11:15 a.m., and meals will be served from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering, call or text 620-755-0752.

Community Thanksgiving, Inc. is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of providing a free meal to anyone in the community who does not want to celebrate the holidays alone and for those who need a good, hot meal.

The group served over 1800 meals between the Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners in both 2021 and 2022.

Volunteers will also be needed for the Christmas Dinner Dec. 25, and will be greatly appreciated.
