HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The USD 308 Board of Education held its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, November 13th at 6 p.m. There was one item on the Board Action Agenda, a vehicle purchase, which was approved.
Highlights from the Superintendent Update and Board Reports or Board Discussion:
-USD 308 announces a public hearing regarding enrollment of nonresident students’ policy to be held December 11th, 5:45pm at the USD 308 Administration Center, 1520 N. Plum.
–USD 308 pursues grant to explore childcare solutions: From the Hutchinson Tribune: “The Kansas State Department of Education is hosting a Capital Projects Fund Accelerator grant that would assist USD 308 in providing essential services to the district. Johnson is applying for the grant on behalf of the district and updated the school board on the process.”
–Hutch to host Civics Bee- The essay application portal is now open through January 8, 2024. Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student residing in Kansas with an idea about using civics to improve their community can learn more and apply here.
All items were approved by the board.
