ALLEN COUNTY, Kan. — Two people received serious injuries in a three vehicle crash late this morning on US 169 about a half mile south of the NW Minnesota Road interchange south of Iola.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a car driven by Anthony Edmondson of Lawrence was northbound on 169 shortly before 11 AM when he went left of center and collided head-on with a car driven by Johnathan Reiss of Oak Grove, Missouri, Reiss’ vehicle then hitting the back trailer duals of a northbound semi.
Edmondson was taken by EMS to Allen County Regional Hospital, while Reiss was airlifted from the scene to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
The semi driver, Harold Osborne of Clay Center, was not injured.
