HUTCHINSON, Kan. — On April 23rd, 2024, at 1:47 PM, officers with Hutchinson Police Department, along with members of Hutchinson Fire Department and Reno County EMS, responded to Ave D and Washington Street in reference to a train versus pedestrian.
When officers arrived, they found Daniel L Raya, 61 YOA, injured on the railroad tracks. Officers attempted life-saving measures on Mr. Raya but were unsuccessful. Mr. Raya was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
