GREAT BEND, KS — A local healthcare business with deep roots in Central Kansas recently celebrated a major milestone as Alternacare Home Health Services marked 30 years of serving the region with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and community celebration on Friday, May 29, 2026.
The event welcomed community members, customers, and supporters to Alternacare’s location at 2708 10th Street in Great Bend. Guests enjoyed giveaways and prizes throughout the event, while Delgado’s served food to the first 200 attendees as part of the celebration.
While the event recognized the company’s 30th anniversary, it also highlighted the long-term impact locally owned healthcare providers have on quality of life, workforce stability, and regional growth throughout Central Kansas.
Alternacare specializes in medical equipment for home use, helping individuals and families access the equipment and support needed to safely recover, heal, and maintain independence at home. Over the past three decades, the business has served an estimated 2,500 customers annually while continuing to build lasting relationships throughout the communities it serves.
Owner John Boswell and the Alternacare team reflected on the significance of reaching the 30-year milestone and the relationships that have sustained the business through years of growth and change in the healthcare industry.
