Third Annual Greater Hutch Signing Day Held May 4th

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – For the third year, Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Academy, Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson Public Schools, and Greater Hutch, an Economic Development Partnership for Reno County, collaborated to host Signing Day on Thursday, May 4th at HC&TEA.

At the event, 80 High School & Post-Secondary students heard from Debra Teufel, Hutchinson Reno County Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, Dr. Carter File, President of Hutchinson Community College, Dr. Dawn Johnson, Superintendent of Hutchinson Public Schools, and Travis Riebel, Director of HC&TEA.

Students signed letters of intent to join their peers and committed to their future technical program pathway of choice including Automotive Technology, Collision Repair, Welding, Manufacturing Technology, Machine Technology, Construction Trades, and Medical Services CNA & CMA. Family, instructors, administration, counselors, industry partners, potential employers, and government officials celebrated the students and the commitment they made to their future.
