It’s a sobering reminder to watch out for the increased number of farm machines on the roads after a driver struck the back end of a combine. One person was injured in a crash just after noon Monday in Cloud County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 28-year-old Matthew Saucedo of Crete, Nebraska, was driving south on U.S. 81, about three miles north of Concordia, when his SUV rear-ended a John Deere combine.

The combine, driven by 25-year-old Nathanael Ohlde of Concordia, was on the shoulder and partially in the driving lane with its hazard lights on. Ohlde was transported to the hospital in Concordia to be checked for injuries.
