SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with a drive-by-shooting that took place late Monday afternoon in South Hutchinson. According to South Hutchinson Police Department, the suspect was taken into custody late Wednesday in South Dakota.
Officers responded Monday in reference to the shooting in the 300 block of E 3rd. A juvenile female standing in front of the residence had sustained a single gunshot wound to the wrist that was determined to be non-life threatening. She was treated at a local hospital and released.
Due to the suspect also being a juvenile, a name is not being released at this time. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
