STERLING, Kan. (Sterling.edu) — Sterling College is proud to announce that it has met its ambitious 2024 Founders Day: Day of Giving matching challenge, raising $142,007 in contributions from alumni, friends, and supporters. This achievement has unlocked an additional $100,000 matching gift, thanks to the generosity of two lead donors, making the total impact of the day an impressive $242,007 for student scholarships.

The Day of Giving, held on November 1, 2024, coincided with Sterling College’s 137th anniversary and was marked by widespread support from the College community. The funds raised will directly benefit the Sterling Fund, which provides essential scholarships that help students pursue their academic and personal growth without the burden of financial stress.

The lead donors behind the matching gift expressed that their generosity was motivated by Sterling College’s missional purity and steadfast commitment to Biblical fidelity. They shared that supporting the College was a way to invest in an institution that upholds strong Christian values and remains true to its mission of developing leaders who embody their faith. Their confidence in Sterling’s dedication to nurturing students within a Christ-centered framework was a driving force in their decision to contribute to this challenge.

“We at Sterling College wish to express our deepest gratitude to all who contributed, shared, and supported this campaign, helping to make it a day of celebration and impact. The College looks forward to building on this momentum to continue serving its mission of developing creative and thoughtful leaders who understand a maturing Christian faith,” said Dr. Scott Rich, president.

The 2024 Day of Giving success highlights the generosity of Sterling’s network and reinforces the vital role scholarships play in making a quality, Christ-centered education accessible. The funds raised will help ensure that students have the resources needed to thrive academically, spiritually, and personally.
