HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas Legislature amended state firework regulations during their session this year. Key changes include the new operational dates for seasonal retailers. Fireworks may now be sold from temporary tents between June 20th and July 8th. During this period, vendors are permitted to operate within Hutchinson, and tent setups are expected to occur. Another significant change allows the sale of fireworks year-round from permanent buildings throughout the state.
The dates during which fireworks can be used remain unchanged in Hutchinson: June 30th to July 4th, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
