GIRARD, Kan. — The Southeast Kansas Community Action Program will open applications for their homeless housing program Monday, June 30th at 8:30 AM.
This program provides assistance for persons certified as homeless or about to become homeless by a social service agency or helping organization, and whose income is at or below 50 percent of the area median income for their county of residence.
Applications will be taken online at sekcap.housingmanager.com until grant funding has been obligated. Information on partner agencies, the application forms and an application checklist can be found at www.sek-cap.org/services.housing.
This program, funded through the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation, assists qualifying individuals and families with rental subsidies along with security and utility deposits, for up to two years. It’s available in the area counties of Allen, Bourbon, Crawford, Linn, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.
