HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One of the most popular days at the fair is here…Dillons dollar day! Either get into the fair for free with your Dillons Plus Card or for $1 per person.

If you don’t have a physical card, you can use the Dillons app on your phone or a Kroger Rewards Card.

On Dillons Day, Midway will also be having a deal for $25 Wristbands. You can buy wristbands online or through calling or visiting the Ticket Office. You won’t be able to use regular wristbands today, but wristbands you have purchased in advance at the ticket office or online can be redeemed for a Dillons Day wristband at Midway Ticket Booths during Carnival hours by request through a voucher if needed. Contact the Kansas State Fair Ticket Office if you need assistance.

Midway ride tickets will also be accepted Monday, Sept. 11, which are typically 3-5 tickets per ride.  Dillons Day Wristband promotion replaces the one-ticket-per-ride from previous years.

It’s also Emergency Preparedness Day at the fair, with a variety of displays, exhibits and information set up on the south side of the Administration Building starting at 9 a.m.

Today will be the first of the three days for the marching bands at the fair, where about 100 bands and 4,000 band members will be performing. Bands will be marching on the grounds and performing in Peoples Bank and Trust Arena through Wednesday and Wednesday will be the biggest of the three days.

Here is the event schedule for Sept. 11. (Events are subject to change)
