U.S. Senator Roger Marshall visited Grinnell and Plevna today. Tornadoes caused extensive damage in both communities late Sunday evening to early Monday morning.
Senator Marshall’s staff members spoke with local and state officials to help determine areas of need for each community according to Senator Marshall’s State Director, Katie Sawyer.
“The Senator’s office stands ready to support communities, business owners and residents as they begin the recovery process,” stated Sawyer.
Sawyer also commented that Senator Marshall’s office was the only member of the federal delegation with staff on the ground at both affected communities.
If anyone needs assistance with a federal agency, they can go to Marshall.Senate.Gov and complete the online form or speak with a member of the staff by calling the Salina office at 785-829-9000.

My team was on the ground in Grinnell and Plevna today to meet with local authorities and assess the damage from yesterday’s tornadoes.
