LA CROSSE, Kan. — Rush County Speedway has added a new season-ending doubleheader, the Last Call Classic, on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24, at the Rush County Fairgrounds in La Crosse, and officials say they expect the event to return as the track’s annual closer.
The extra weekend was not on the original 2026 schedule. It will feature United Rebel Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Mods, and Cruiser/Econo/Crown Vic at The Bullring.
“The season isn’t over yet,” promoter William Nusser said. “One more weekend. One last shot under the lights. This is last call at The Bullring for 2026 — and we see Last Call Classic becoming an annual event.” Event sponsorship opportunities are still available.
Friday’s program will include open practice, optional IMCA qualifying to lock into Saturday’s redraw, and the Tanner Schmidt Productions Top 10 Shootout. Eligibility for the shootout is limited to drivers in the top 10 in power rankings or the top 10 in state points.
Saturday, the United Rebel Sprint Series will run a full heats-and-features program. IMCA cars not locked in from Friday qualifying will run heats to make the redraw, then championship features. Cruiser/Econo/Crown Vic will also run heats and features.
Before Saturday’s racing, the speedway will host a trunk-or-treat through the pits. Youth wearing Halloween costumes will receive free grandstand admission that night.
The added weekend also supports the speedway’s Take a Seat into the Future campaign to improve the fan experience and add more accessible seating after capacity crowds this season.
Sponsorship options include $5,000-plus (3-by-5 signage and four lifetime passes), $2,500-plus (2-by-4 signage and two lifetime passes), and $1,000-plus (one lifetime pass). All of those levels include a name on group sponsorship signage. Exclusive naming rights are available. Individual support starts at $100 to sponsor a seat or $25 as a project contributor.
