McPHERSON, Kan. — The ReUse It Center was able to donate a total of $4,500 this month thanks to its shoppers and volunteers.
The organizations that the business donated to were Habitat for Humanity and The Omega Project.
Habitat for Humanity
McPherson Area Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. McPherson Area Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter
conditions.
The Omega Project
The Omega Project is a multi-faceted, faith based recovery program that emphasizes heart level changes of men and women. We offer lifestyle change to those whose probable future would have been jail or homelessness. We provide a place to live, teaching and training in lifestyle transformation, work opportunities, and contact with those who have overcome the addictive lifestyle.
