The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) resurfacing project on U.S. 75 in Coffey County will start the week of Aug. 25, conditions permitting.
The project will chip seal from the north junction with K-58 to Burlington. This project will refresh the surface of the highway to allow for smoother traffic movement.
Traffic will be guided through the construction by a flagging operation and a pilot car. Drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
The project is expected to be completed by late September, conditions permitting.
Vance Brothers, Inc. and subsidiary based in Kansas City, Missouri is the primary contractor for the $318,180 project.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511.
