HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The first ever lighted Christmas Parade presented by Ad Astra Radio and Downtown Hutch was a big success Saturday night! We would like to thank all who worked behind the scenes in making the event happen and also thank all who participated. The floats looked phenomenal.
Ad Astra Radio’s Rob Mackey and Tom Norris announced the floats as they went by from the stage in front of DCI Park.
Also on the stage were the local Hutchinson celebrities judging the parade including Representative Jason Probst, David Teufel, Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Debra Teufel, and Hutchinson City Manager Mary Grace Clements.

Best Theme – The Cosmosphere
Runner up – Riverside Baptist Church
Most Christmas Spirit – Wesley Towers
Runner ups – Jackson Dairy and Axe It Up – Hutch.
Best Use of Lights – Salty Cycles
Runner ups – Order of the Eastern Star, Reno County Sheriff’s Department, and Disciples of Dirt
Best Band – Hutchinson High School
Runner up – Wiley Elementary
Judges’ Choice – Hutch Rec
Runner ups – Durham School Services and Axe It Up – Hutch
Downtown Hutchinson will formally present awards and certificates to the category winners and runner ups soon.
