Reno County Child Care Task Force Held Their Free Child Care Training Event Saturday

RENO COUNTY, Kan. — The Reno County Child Care Task Force held a free Child Care Training Event on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at The Father’s House, Abundant Life Childcare Center, 1505 E. 20th Ave. in Hutchinson. The training was free for child care providers in Reno County and providers from other counties. An incentive was available for all Reno County licensed providers who attended for their in-service hours. 

Julie Kallas, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Reno County Health Department gave a presentation about “Comprehensive Preparedness for Daily Life.” Beth Reeder gave presentations on “Children & Their Behaviors,” “The Best Exercise for the Brain, is Exercise,” and “Parents, How to get them Involved.” Ashley Fritschle with Childcare Aware, gave presentations on “Time Out! Taking Time for You,” and “A Child’s Brain, Some Assembly Required.” Katie Perez presented “Building Neuro Resilience.” Denise Gerhert taught a CPR/First Aid class Parts A, B, and C.
