SALINA, Kan. — The American Cancer Society is getting ready for the 2025 Relay For Life of Saline County on Saturday, May 31 from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at a new location: Saint Francis Ministries, 110 W. Otis in North Salina.
This year’s theme is “Magic of Relay” celebrating the power of coming together to fight cancer. The event will feature live music, dance performances, food trucks, a silent auction, and plenty of family-friendly fun.
More highlights include a special survivor celebration, a dessert bar for survivors, and the heartfelt luminaria ceremony. There’s something for everyone whether you’re walking, cheering on a loved one or just soaking in the magic of the event.
Saline County and neighboring communities are invited to attend the Relay For Life to achieve the fundraising goal of $55,000. Generous sponsors include Schwan’s, Sunbelt Solomon and Sunflower Bank.
The mission of Relay For Life is to not only raise money for breakthroughs in cancer treatment and to support those affected by cancer, but also to bring awareness to cancer, which continues to affect millions of individuals each year. By 2025, more than 2 million Americans are projected to be diagnosed with cancer, and over 618,000 are expected to lose their lives to cancer according to the American Cancer Society.
Since 1985, Relay For Life has raised nearly $7 billion, supporting research, patient assistance, and advocacy efforts that have led to significant, life-saving advancements.
For the 33rd consecutive year, the Relay For Life of Saline County is dedicated to contributing to this mission.
