June home sales through Prairie Land Realtors’ Mid-Kansas Multiple Listing Service were up 18.1% from June 2024, with 150 homes sold. Total sales volume for the month cane to $35 million, up 43.9% from a year ago.
The median sales price region-wide for the month was $186,000, up $20,000 from June 2024. Homes selling during the month were typically on the market for nine days and brought on average 100% of list price.
The number of active listings in the Mid Kansas MLS region as of June 30th was 260, up 19 from a year ago, or a 2.1-month supply of homes available for sale. Those homes carried a median list price of $217,000.
June saw 146 contracts written, up six from a year ago, with 185 contracts pending as of that time.
Data for three local markets within the MLS area was also released. In Reno County 70 homes sold with a median sales price of $156,415. Reno County home sales increased 18.6% from last year, though the median sales price was down by 5.2%. Reno County had 82 active listings as of June 30th, or a 1.4-month supply
In the McPherson area, which includes MLS sales in McPherson and Marion counties, 43 homes sold, up just over 30 percent from a year ago, with the $205,000 median price up 2.6 percent. The McPherson area had 69 active listings, or a two-month supply.
In the Pratt area, which also includes Barber County sales made through MLS, five homes sold in June, down 64.3 percent from a year ago, with the median sale price of $137,000 up 13%. There were 29 active listings in the Pratt area at the end of June, a 3.4-month supply.
