BURRTON, Kan. – One person was killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon involving a BNSF train and a UPS delivery truck west of Burrton. The accident occurred just after 3 PM at Blanchard and Woodberry Roads, on the Reno-Harvey county line The Reno County Sheriff’s Office said the driver was removed from the heavily damaged van, and despite life-saving procedures by Reno County and Burrton EMS the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The two people on the train were not injured. The accident is still under investigation, and more details will be released when available.
