RENO COUNTY, Kan. – Voters in two Reno County school districts gave approval to bond proposals Tuesday. Unofficial results in Nickerson-South Hutchinson USD 309 indicated that their $7.6 million bond issue passed with 381 votes in favor to 301 against. Pretty Prairie USD 311 voters approved a just over $7.7 million bond issue with 272 votes in favor and 222 votes against.

Reno County Deputy Election Officer Jenna Fager told Ad Astra News Tuesday night that there are five provisional ballots in USD 309 and 16 in USD 311 to be reviewed, however, those votes are not enough to change the outcome of either election. 13.32 percent of USD 309 voters cast ballots in the election while turnout in the Pretty Prairie district was much higher at just over 45 percent.
