A Newton woman died in a late Sunday morning fire.
Newton Fire/EMS responded around 11:30 AM to the 500 block of West 4th, where a residence was engulfed in fire and smoke, with an active power line also found on the ground.
In battling the fire, Newton Fire/EMS found the body of 74-year-old Susan Taylor, along with two dogs who also died in the fire.
The fire caused heavy damage, and its cause is under investigation.
