Monarchs Seeking Host Families for Upcoming Summer Season

SHARE NOW

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Interested in hosting a Monarchs baseball player to give them a home away from home this upcoming summer season?

Each year, the Monarchs welcome players from around the country to compete, grow and represent them on the field. For this experience to be possible, the Monarchs rely on the generosity of local families to open their homes to a player for the season.

Being a Host Family Means:
  • One to two meals per day, depending on the player’s schedule. Players may sleep later and skip breakfast due to having evening games. Some meals might be at the ballpark as well.
  • A bed, access to a bathroom and a laundry facility for the player. Access to your home, via a key or garage code/opener.
  • Parking for the player’s vehicle.
  • A list of house rules to help set the assigned player’s expectations.
  • Compliance with all laws of the State of Kansas by both players and host families.
Things You Gain from the Experience:
  • You’ll get to know a driven young athlete.
  • You’ll receive free tickets to Monarchs home games.
  • You become part of the extended Monarchs family. Many host families build lasting friendships with their players.

Typically, the hosting period runs from May 26 through the beginning of August. The players are all expected to be responsible, respectful, and become a part of your family.
