PRATT, Kan. — Miss Kansas 2024 will be crowned on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the 2024 Miss Kansas Competition. The Miss Kansas Organization (MKO) is proud to welcome 26 Miss Kansas delegates from the State of Kansas to the competition, which will take place on the campus of Pratt Community College in Pratt, Kansas.
The Miss Kansas Organization Executive Director, Stephanie Harris remarked, “We are very pleased with the number of intelligent, ambitious, and talented young women who have qualified for the competition,” Harris said. “It will be a challenging task for the judges to choose the next Miss Kansas.
Tickets for the 2024 Miss Kansas Competition, are available online at www.misskansas.org or by visiting www.selectaseat.com on May 6, 2024. Tickets are available for purchase in the Miss Kansas Organization office during competition week, but tickets are limited.
Miss Kansas delegates will compete in five phases of competition, including talent, health and fitness, evening gown, private interview, and on-stage interview. During the competition, each delegate will also discuss her chosen platform, a social or community issue of concern to herself and our society at large. The winner of the 2024 Miss Kansas Competition will be awarded scholarship funds for her college or graduate school education. In addition, she will receive many gifts provided by MKO’s generous sponsors. Other special awards given during the competition include the Community Service Initiative Scholarship, acknowledging a 2024 delegate for their outstanding achievements in their platform work.
During her year of service, Miss Kansas 2024 will travel across the state of Kansas speaking to government officials, business leaders, community groups, and the citizens of Kansas, about her platform and encouraging them to become involved in her cause. She will represent Kansas when she competes for the Miss America title in January 2025.
“I have truly enjoyed my year of service as Miss Kansas and am proud to have traveled the state of Kansas raising awareness for the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, Kansas Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Office, Lead for America, Envision, Inc., and promoting my platform of “One Vision is Not the Only Vision,” said Miss Kansas 2023, Courtney Wages. “I know that the personal and professional skills I have gained from this experience will help me as I continue throughout my life.”
Wages continued, “Miss Kansas not only serves as a role model for young women and as an ambassador for the Miss America Opportunity, but she also encourages girls and young women to develop their leadership skills and to take an active role in their communities.”
The Miss Kansas Organization provides opportunities for young women to achieve their personal and professional ambitions. Delegates also participate in community service activities and develop leadership skills that help them excel in their chosen careers and life goals.
