Memorial Day Services Planned for Monday in Reno County

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The public is invited to attend Memorial Day Services planned for Monday, May 29th.

The annual Reno County Veterans Memorial Ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. at the Reno County Veterans Memorial in South Hutchinson. The ceremony will include the National Anthem performed by the Hutchinson Brass Quintet, Placement of the Memorial Wreaths, and an address by Commander Bruce Branson of the American Legion.

A Memorial Day Ceremony will also happen at 11 a.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery in Hutchinson, featuring a flag presentation by the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post 68 Color Guard, and the performing of the National Anthem by the Hutchinson Municipal Band.

The special guest speaker will be Commander Jeremy Ehart of the Kansas American Legion.

Following the Fairlawn service will be a luncheon served at the American Legion, 702 West 4th Ave in Hutchinson.
