MCPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson Police Chief Mikel Golden was honored during Tuesday’s McPherson City Commission meeting for completion of the Mini-MPA program offered by Wichita State University’s Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs.

The Mini-MPA program is a 16-week intensive professional development series for people working in local government. 25-30 people take part in the program on an annual basis.

Several McPherson city employees have participated in the program previously, most recently Parks and Public Lands Director Wayne Burns in 2022.
