McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Meals on Wheels announced Tuesday Connie Grennan, who has directed the program for the past 25 years, will be retiring April 30.
During Grennan’s tenure the program has grown from feeding 40 people a day to around 80 people a day, guided it through the uncertainty and regulatory changes tied to COVID-19 and contributed to other upgrades including a new meal packaging system.
In that time Meals on Wheels has served over 950 different individuals around the community, has been a great resource for clients, and has shown great passion for getting people the help they need.
A come and go reception for Connie Grennan will be held April 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. at McPherson Hospital’s Hess Education Center.
