McPHERSON, Kan. — On April 3, 2024, the McPherson Main Street Board of Directors unanimously voted to appoint Ben Coffey as the part-time Interim Executive Director of McPherson Main Street. Coffey stepped down as Board President and Deb Luttig was advanced from President-Elect to Board President to accommodate this temporary structure.
Coffey’s role is part-time and temporary while the Board of Directors begins the search for Main Street’s next director. Once a new director is hired, Coffey and Luttig will resume their roles for the remainder of their terms. The Board has also hired Ann Engel, former Main Street Director, to assist with bookkeeping and accounting needs.
“We’ll maintain daily operations while growing and strengthening the organization simultaneously,” said Coffey. Coffey’s regular office hours at the Chamber office suite are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9am to 10am and will be available for meetings as needed.
Before the Board begins to solicit applications from potential candidates, they are committed to working with members and leaders to craft the job description for the next director.
