McPHERSON, Kan. — The closure of a major book supplier is impacting libraries across the country, including the McPherson Public Library.
The library announced Sunday Baker and Taylor, which is one their library’s primary book distributors, has unexpectedly announced it is closing operations.
In a statement the library said as they adjust to their sudden development they are working diligently to find alternative solutions to ensure continued access to books and materials patrons they enjoy, but there may be delays in receiving new released and requested items.
The Library said it appreciates patron understanding and patience as they negotiate the change, adding their commitment to exceptional service and providing a diverse, engaging collection remains stronger than ever.
