McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson College’s classic 1953 Mercedes-Benz 300 S is the college’s first car fully restored by its students to be accepted to the Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance, the nation’s most prestigious car event, which takes place in Monterey, Calif. on August 20. Students will load the car for transport and begin their trip to Pebble Beach on Friday, Aug. 11. This will be the last chance to see the vehicle in Kansas before it heads to California.
Join the students on Aug. 11 at Harnly Gardens, 1600 E. Euclid Ave., McPherson from 8:30-9:30 a.m., for their official sendoff.
