McPherson City Commissioners Approve Payments for Rehab Project, Design Work on New Fire Station

MCPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson City Commissioners Tuesday approved payments to DH Home Improvement and SCKEED connected with the rehabilitation of a residence on South Elm as part of a 2020 Community Development Housing Block Grant. The total payments on this project came to just over $30 thousand, $6,250 of which was contributed by the landlord.

Fire Station Design Work

Payment of an invoice to Hutton Construction for design work to date on the new North Main fire station was approved. Those designs are now 30 percent complete.

Job Offers

Commissioners also gave approval to a conditional job offer for Mason Little as a new officer with the McPherson Police Department, and the hiring of Brent Buller as a firefighter/EMT for the McPherson Fire Department.

One other personnel item was the creation of a part-time clubhouse assistant position at Turkey Creek Golf Course to assist with operations during the busy season, primarily from April to the end of September.
