McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Chamber of Commerce Civic Awareness Committee invites the community to its annual Legislative Update on March 7 at 9:00 a.m. at Kansas Municipal Utilities (KMU), 2090 E. Ave. A. The gathering is designed to support civic engagement and help residents stay informed about state-level issues. Kansas senator Michael Fagg and state representatives Richard Wilborn, Michael King, and Paul Waggoner have been invited to share updates. Their participation offers residents a direct look at current legislative work and the major topics being discussed in Topeka.

Attendees will hear about key bills moving through the legislature, the priorities of each lawmaker, and the work taking place in their committees. The event is intended not only to inform but also to encourage meaningful conversation between elected officials and the public. Community members will have the chance to ask questions and engage in dialogue about issues that affect daily life.

With state decisions influencing everything from local services to long‑term policy, staying connected to the legislative process remains essential. The Legislative Update underscores the importance of community involvement and informed citizenship.

The Chamber expresses its appreciation to KMU for sponsoring the event and welcomes all residents to attend. The update is free and open to the public.
