McPherson Chamber Recognized with E-Community Loan Activity Award

MCPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson Chamber of Commerce was recently honored with the E-Community Loan Activity Award at the recent 2023 NetWork Kansas annual retreat for the highest number of E-Loans. The Chamber is a partner of NetWork Kansas and administers the McPherson County Entrepreneurship Community program.

Since 2012, the McPherson County E-Community Loan Program has approved 69 low interest loans, totaling over $2,629,651 and will be announcing a 70th E-Loan recipient in July. That is over $2.6 million invested in the McPherson community, not to mention the many added jobs.

Through our E-Community partnership, limited access is available to low interest loans and resources to assist entrepreneurs with gap financing in McPherson County. Funds are flexible and can be used for a variety of business purposes, including startup costs, purchasing an existing business, business expansion, working capital, inventory, and more.

In addition to financing, local businesses and youth have also benefited from business education programs. The Chamber has facilitated a yearly Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge event (YEC) since 2018 and has offered various entrepreneurial programs since 2012 including: the Ice House Program, Growing Rural Businesses, Destination Bootcamp, and the Maker Space Boot Camp.
