McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Center for Health is excited to welcome Dr. Holly Burt to the team at our Rural Health Clinic. As a small-town Kansas native, Dr. Burt brings a heart for rural healthcare and a commitment to caring for patients and families throughout every stage of life.

Dr. Burt grew up in Bennington, Kansas, where she learned early the importance of community, connection, and looking out for one another, these values now shape how she practices medicine. She earned both her undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed her residency through the Ascension Via Christi Family Medicine program. As a participant in the Scholars in Rural Health program, she felt called to serve communities where access to care can sometimes be limited.

“As a family medicine physician, I am committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate healthcare that extends far beyond traditional medical treatment.,” said Dr. Burt. “Family medicine allows me to build long-term patient relationships, provide care across all life stages, and offer truly comprehensive healthcare. I am not just treating symptoms; I am supporting your entire health journey. I am here to provide expert, compassionate care that considers your unique needs.”

Dr. Burt sees patients of all ages and offers a wide range of services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, wellness visits, and more. Her goal is to be a consistent, trusted resource for families right here in our community.

“We’re excited to welcome Dr. Burt to our accredited rural health clinic and to our community,” said Carol Fickes, Chief of Provider and Clinic Operations. “Dr. Burt shares our commitment to delivering personalized, high-quality care close to home. With a strong focus on building lasting relationships and supporting patients at every stage of life, Dr. Burt brings a thoughtful, compassionate approach to care that we know our patients and neighbors will truly value.”

Dr. Burt and her husband, Michael, a mechanical engineer, met while attending KU. They’ve been married for ten years and have a one-year-old son, Andrew, who loves smiling and playing with their corgi, Oliver. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, decorating cakes, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family.
