DODGE CITY, Kan. — Today, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) announced the hire of Josie Shearer as a district representative based in his Dodge City, Kansas office. Shearer is a Dodge City local and graduated from Dodge City High School in 2012.
“I am honored that Josie will serve on my team,” said Rep. Mann. “As a native of Dodge City and having spent most of her adulthood in the community, she is perfectly positioned to serve Western Kansans and the Big First District. Josie’s immersion in the community will allow her to hit the ground running while advocating for Kansas values in Dodge City and beyond.”
“Dodge City is home,” said Shearer. “Stepping into a role where I am positioned to serve, advocate for, and empower Western Kansans is a privilege, and I could not be more honored to have this role. I am looking forward to meeting more of my neighbors over the next few months and am excited to identify new ways that we can serve you.”
As a District Representative, Shearer will assist Kansans with:
- Navigating federal agencies
- Expediting passports
- Seeking military academy nominations
- Applying for congressional student internships in Kansas and Washington, D.C.
- Visiting our nation’s capital
- Attending events in place of the Congressman
