Man Arrested After Making TikTok Threats Against Marquette Learning Center

MARQUETTE, Kan. — A man who allegedly threatened harm via TikTok to children attending the Marquette Learning Center is in custody.

The Marquette Police Department learned of the threat Wednesday evening, and after an investigation a suspect was identified and with the assistance of the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office was taken into custody, with aggravated criminal threat and criminal threat charges requested. 

An officer was assigned to the Learning Center today to ensure the safety of children and staff.

No further information about the incident was released. McPherson County Jail logs late Thursday morning indicated a man had been arrested Wednesday night and was being held without bond, though no information on charges was listed on the report.
