LYONS, Kan. — On Tuesday, Park Elementary School announced that Mrs. Dee Orth, who has taught at Park Elementary for 30 years has been selected to the Kansas Teachers Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
Mrs. Orth will be formally inducted during a ceremony this summer according to the school.
In her retirement, Mrs. Orth has continued to help support the classrooms any way she can and has volunteered to tutor, read and work with the Park students.
She is known for her dedication to the students and the school shared that common words heard when speaking of Mrs. Orth was “no one being more deserving of such an honor.”
