Long Pumpkin Patch Open for a New Season of Fall Family Fun

GREAT BEND, Kan. — Crisp autumn days, pumpkins on the vine and family-friendly adventures return at Long Pumpkin Patch as they open for its 2026 season.

Located northeast of Great Bend at 163 NE 30 Road, Long Pumpkin Patch offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy the sights and traditions of fall in a relaxed country setting. Admission is free, making the patch an affordable seasonal destination for families, friends and groups throughout Central Kansas.

Guests can head into the field to choose their own pumpkins directly from the vine, with selections ranging from large jack-o’-lantern pumpkins to tiny decorative gourds. Visitors can also explore the corn maze, test their aim at the gourd launcher, climb and play in the bale fort, soar on the culvert swing or dig into the corn pit.

Long Pumpkin Patch will be open September 26 through October 31. Regular public hours are:

  • Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.

In addition to its weekend hours, Long Pumpkin Patch offers field trips from September 28 through October 30. Schools, childcare centers and other groups interested in planning a fall outing are encouraged to contact the patch for availability and scheduling.

The property’s barn is also available throughout the year for meetings and private parties, providing a rustic gathering space beyond the traditional pumpkin season.
